Badung (not to be confused with Bandung, capital of West Java) is a regency in the province of Bali. The name and the area are derived from the former kingdom of the same name (Kerajaan Badung).
Located in the heart of Bali’s most dynamic tourist spots, including provincial capital : Den Pasar. It is where Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, Nusa Dua & Legian Beaches, cafe and pubs, Taman Ayun and Sangeh Monkey forest to name a few. The capital of the regency is no longer in Den Pasar (since Den Pasar is now an autonomous city) eventually transfered to Mangupura, Mengwi in 2009.
The government complex is a brand new integrated area in the same zone, where capitol and the legislative building as well as all regency’s office are located. It is probably one of the most breath-taking government complex in the nation especially its grand Balinese style, it’s more like an expensive tourist resort in appearance :
